The Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts will be providing a variety of programs and services for youth FREE OF CHARGE for College Park households with annual incomes less than $50,000. College Park is now committed to bringing great activities into the everyday lives of all citizens.

June 2025: Lisa Wheaton
Lisa Wheaton has faithfully served the City of College Park for 28 of her remarkable 44-year career, dedicating her life to nurturing young athletes and building the College Park Tumbleweeds Gymnastics program. As a coach, mentor and role model, she has inspired generations — including current Recreation and Cultural Arts Director Michelle Johnson.
Wheaton made history as Georgia's first Black gymnastics judge, breaking barriers with humility and strength. Her expertise, leadership and unwavering dedication have made a lasting impact on the city's programs and the gymnastics community statewide.
Her legacy is one of service, inspiration and excellence. The City of College Park is proud to honor her. Congrats on being the June All-Star of the Month!

March 2025: Jerisha Bronson
The City of College Park is pleased to announce College Park Recreation & Cultural Arts Jerisha Bronson as All-Star of the Month.
Since joining the City of College Park in 2015, Jerisha Bronson has played a vital role in bringing the community together through engaging and inclusive programming. As Program Coordinator, she helps lead the charge on our beloved city-wide events such as:
- The Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon
- Light Up the City & the Christmas Parade
- The Annual Easter Egg Hunt
A former Atlanta Falcons cheerleader and Miss Georgia 2020, Jerisha brings energy, leadership, and heart to everything she does. She is passionate about fostering inclusion, driving innovation, and creating welcoming spaces where all residents can feel seen, valued, and while representing the city's core values: -
